What a wonderful Friday evening. We got our dinner and enjoyed it on our backboard at the Tallgrass Preserve. Beautiful evening as the sun was setting. We could see fresh evidence of the buffalo but no sight of them. We were looking for Neowise the recently discovered comet. We were looking to the NW. We looked and looked to the northwest sky as the sun set and the stars came out. We eventually got comfortable viewing the stars. A multitude of stars eventually appeared. There was a little cloud cover right in the area we were looking, and we eventually saw it, up next to the cloud we finally saw a bit of star with a longish glow in the northwest sky below the big dipper. Just one other couple had come back for their second viewing claiming it was really great the previous night and we would soon see it and pointed the way over the northwest horizon. Every time we visit the Tallgrass Preserve at sunset we hope we will be back soon. It is a wonderful place.
